Imagine this. Wasabi and ketchup with your breakfast sausages and taters.
How about wasabi and soy sauce drizzled on top or your fried eggs?
We discovered the unique thing about this place. We found and unlocked the secret that makes the breakfast here unique.
Ok the breakfast is your typical run of the mill pre- Style. Nothing special, just the basics. But it's the discovery of the wasabi that makes the difference.
The bonus? The Japanese food is decent. Our "Japanese Food Critique" had a bento combo for $13.99 and it was better than most Japanese places (Japanese owned and operated even).
What did we find out about this place? The chef is half Chinese and half Japanese. Now that's cool.
It's not fancy and the food is basic, but this could easily become a classic place to dine. Of which few are left.
This is why the five star review. Wasabi and ketchup.
BYW after mentioning this, we found out another customer orders that with his breakfast. So if you want to try it out. Just make sure you ask for the wasabi. -

So sad to see this favourite shut down last month ! I kept meaning to leave a review because I loved this little hole in the wall ! Better late than never only because I'd love for the owners to see how much they were loved !
Anything from burgers n fries fish n chips to sushi or bento box ! Sad to not have you in my life anymore but sure did adore you ! -

I didn't know Sushi could be greasy! This place is exactly how Asian restaurants are like in the prairies... Makes me homesick! A greasy spoon type of place with a variety selection of primarily Japanese, some Chinese, and Canadian food. Try the 89 Inn Burger!

I used to come here before, when I lived in the neighbornhood few years ago to have the sushi take out for 7,99 (24 pieces). But since I moved, yesterday was my first visit in 5 years. Not much have changed. Sushi is still pretty good, their specials are excellent price and taste.
My husband and I had the Spicy Fried Rolls, which for us was spicy average, and the Dynamite Sushi; and also the BBQ Pork fried rice. We went home rolling (we live down 49th), and we had to share the food, a really good portion for two. The bill was fair, and I guess we tipped the waitress fair too, she was really nice with us.
